After exploring Jerash, you'll head to Ajloun Castle (Qal'at Ar-Rabad), a 12th-century fortress built by one of Saladin's generals to defend against Crusader forces. Located high above the hills, the castle offers breathtaking panoramic views and provides a glimpse into Jordan's medieval history.

Today, your journey takes you through some of Jordan's most significant religious sites.
Start with a visit to Madaba, often referred to as the "City of Mosaics." Madaba is known for its Byzantine and Umayyad mosaics, with highlights including St. George’s Church, home to the famous 6th-century mosaic map of Palestine. This map is one of the oldest and most valuable pieces of early Christian art, offering crucial insights into the region’s history.
Next, head to Mount Nebo, the highest point in the ancient Kingdom of Moab. According to Abrahamic texts, it is here that Moses viewed the Promised Land before passing away. The site offers stunning views and a deep connection to religious history. The town surrounding Mount Nebo has been inhabited since the 4th century by a Christian nomadic tribe, adding further significance to this sacred place.
You will then visit the Baptism Site, known as "Bethany Beyond Jordan," which is believed to be the location where John the Baptist baptized Jesus. This UNESCO World Heritage site is a pilgrimage destination for many, offering a spiritual connection to biblical events. It is a meaningful stop for visitors seeking both historical insights and a chance to reflect on their faith.
End your day at the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth. Here, you can relax by the shore, experience the healing properties of the mineral-rich mud, and float effortlessly in the saline waters. The therapeutic benefits of the Dead Sea are renowned, making it the perfect place to unwind. Spend the night at your hotel by the Dead Sea, enjoying the peaceful surroundings.
