Day 02: Amman – Petra Visit – Wadi Rum Visit – Wadi Rum
Distance : 340.5 KM
Driving Time : 5 hrs
Overnight : Wadi Rum
On this day, you will visit one of the Seven Wonders of the World—Petra. Take in the captivating splendor of Jordan's most famous landmark, the rose-red city of Petra, which is also a UNESCO World Heritage site. Begin your exploration by walking through the magnificent Siq, a narrow canyon with towering rocks on either side that serves as the dramatic entrance to Petra, for the first 700 meters.
Next, you will explore Little Petra (Beidha), a fascinating site known for its similarities to Petra. Like the ancient city of Petra, Al Beidha is constructed behind a narrow canyon that acts as a passageway. The Cold Siq at Al Beidha is slightly smaller than the Siq at Petra, and visitors will need to hike through it to reach the ruins of Little Petra. The cliffs surrounding the ruins are eroded by wind, providing an interesting sight. You'll also find many broken tablets at this site, dating back to the Neolithic period.
Later, you'll experience a night under the stars in the Wadi Rum desert. Here, you will enjoy a full desert vibe, watching the sunset during a jeep safari tour. Afterward, you’ll take part in a Bedouin party and indulge in a traditional dinner called Zarb, a slow-cooked feast prepared in an underground oven.
Enjoy a peaceful night at your camp under the stars!

As one of the oldest known maps of the Holy Land, this extraordinary piece of early Christian art offers invaluable insight into the region’s ancient geography and spiritual heritage.
Next, head to Mount Nebo, the highest point in the ancient Kingdom of Moab. According to Abrahamic texts, it is here that Moses viewed the Promised Land before passing away. The site offers stunning views and a deep connection to religious history. The town surrounding Mount Nebo has been inhabited since the 4th century by a Christian nomadic tribe, adding further significance to this sacred place.
you’ll continue your journey to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth. Here, you will have the chance to unwind and take in the soothing atmosphere.
