Day 02: Amman - Madaba – Mount Nebo – Amman
Distance : 90.3 KM
Driving Time : 2 hr
Overnight : Amman
Your first stop today will be a tour of Madaba, a charming town that blends rural life with religious significance. Known as the “City of Mosaics,” Madaba is a cultural hub for Byzantine and Umayyad mosaics, offering visitors a rich historical experience just a short distance from the capital. The town is home to a number of religious monuments that offer a glimpse into the region's spiritual past.
During your time in Madaba, you’ll visit St. George’s Church, a modest 19th-century Greek Orthodox church that houses a remarkable treasure of early Christianity. In 1884, Christian builders working on the church uncovered the remnants of an ancient Byzantine church. Among the ruins, they discovered an extraordinary mosaic—a map that is now recognized as the oldest known map of Palestine. This historical find offers invaluable insights into the region's past, surviving through centuries of destruction, fire, and neglect.
From Madaba, you’ll head to Mount Nebo, the highest point in the ancient Kingdom of Moab. Tradition holds that this is where Moses viewed the Promised Land before his passing. The site offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Holy Land and holds deep religious significance. Here, you can reflect on the historical and spiritual importance of the place.
Your day will conclude with an overnight stay in Amman, where you can relax and prepare for more adventures to come.
Day 03: Amman – Kerak – Dana – Petra
Distance : 256.7 KM
Driving Time : 4 hr 20 min
Overnight : Petra
Today, prepare for an amazing journey through southern Jordan, where history, nature, and breathtaking landscapes await!
Your first destination will be Kerak Castle, a well-preserved fortress located in southern Jordan. Built in the 12th century, this castle played a pivotal role during the Crusades due to its strategic position. Known for its impressive defensive architecture, the castle offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding area. As you explore, you’ll gain insights into medieval military strategies and the significant role the castle played during the Crusader period.
Next, you’ll visit Dana, a diverse and ecologically rich area located in southern Jordan. The Dana Biosphere Reserve spans approximately 308 square kilometers, making it Jordan's largest nature reserve. Established in 1989, it encompasses a variety of habitats, ranging from Mediterranean forests and woodlands to desert and semi-desert landscapes. Dana is home to a wide range of flora and fauna, including endangered species such as the Nubian ibex and Syrian wolf.
The reserve is not only significant for its natural beauty but also for its geological features, such as dramatic cliffs and canyons. As you explore, you’ll also discover ancient ruins and traditional villages, adding a cultural layer to your adventure. Dana plays a key role in conservation, research, and eco-tourism in Jordan, making it a must-visit for nature enthusiasts and history lovers alike.
This day promises to be filled with incredible experiences, offering you a taste of both Jordan’s rich history and stunning natural wonders.

Driving Time : 1 hr 40 min

Today, you will have the unforgettable opportunity to explore some of Jordan’s most iconic and awe-inspiring destinations!
Your day begins with a visit to Petra, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. This rose-red city, also a UNESCO World Heritage site, is Jordan’s most famous landmark. As you walk through the Siq, a narrow canyon flanked by towering rock formations, you’ll be led to the heart of Petra. This dramatic entrance sets the stage for your exploration of the ancient Nabatean city, with its intricate tombs, temples, and monuments carved directly into the rock.
Next, you’ll visit Little Petra (Beidha), an archaeological site that offers a glimpse into the ancient world, similar to Petra but on a smaller scale. The journey through the Cold Siq in Little Petra is slightly narrower than the Siq in Petra, but just as captivating. As you walk through this passage, you’ll discover ancient ruins and relics that echo the grandeur of Petra, but with a more intimate feel.
Afterward, you’ll head to Wadi Rum, a stunning desert valley known for its majestic red sand dunes and towering sandstone formations. Often referred to as “The Valley of the Moon,” Wadi Rum offers one of the most serene and otherworldly landscapes in the world. Here, you’ll embark on an exciting Jeep safari, exploring the vast desert and its remarkable natural beauty. As the sun sets, enjoy a traditional Bedouin dinner, known as Zarb, cooked in an underground oven, while gazing at the stars above.
Your day will end with an overnight stay at a Bedouin camp in Wadi Rum, where you can unwind and take in the tranquility of the desert night.
